Wool gloves are a very good option when deciding on how to keep your hands from freezing in the winter. There are other options like making a fire in the middle of the street or always staying indoors next to a warm heater. I wonder what people use to do when gloves were not invented yet. Perhaps they chopped off their hand or just lost them because of frost bite. What do you think you would do without those lovely warm gloves in the winter. I bet you wouldn’t be having any fun snowball fights, go sledging or skiing, maybe your skin is so sensitive you wouldn’t even leave the house.
There are different kinds of wool gloves around to be purchased by you the customers. If you look at things you buy today and compare them to the things that were bought sixty years ago you will see the difference. If somebody was wearing gloves from the sixties in the 21st century, some people would go and laugh at them behind their back and mock them. It’s a bit like introducing your friends to your parents or your girlfriend to your crazy mom.
Well, what can you do, times change, trends change, people change and so on. That’s just what happens in the world we live in and there’s nothing you can do about it. But when it’s cold outside and your hands are freezing, maybe even in the burning cold stage already, you can do something about it. Just go to the next clothes shop and you will find those brilliant wool gloves you always wanted.
Even beggars have woolly gloves nowadays, maybe they have some holes, but hey, at least their hands are warm. The most famous homeless gloves are the ones with the fingertips looking out of the gloves. I never got the point of those, because the main part of the hands that gets cold are the fingertips. It takes away the whole purpose of wearing wool gloves which is to keep your hands warm.
However, even if you wear gloves you can get frostbite. It depends on how cold it is outside. Many ice climbers that I’ve seen documentaries of on American TV have had to have their fingers cut off due to frostbite. That must be very painful, imagine getting frostbite and having to cut off some fingers or toes, I don’t think it would be very pleasant.
Personally, I have never had any problems with frostbite or cold hands because I always had wool gloves to keep them warm. These were not just any cheap gloves, these were the best most expensive gloves you could find in the whole wide world, but it was worth it because I always had warm hands. These gloves even had an option of air conditioning just in case they got too warm.
